New Character Posters for Super Mario Galaxy Movie Released
According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Universal Pictures has unveiled new character posters for “Mario,” “Princess Peach,” “Bowser,” “Rosalina,” and “Luigi” from Super Mario Galaxy Movie. The film is directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic, based on a screenplay by Matthew Fogel.
Chris Pratt returns as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, and Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek. Benny Safdie joins the cast as Bowser Jr., and Brie Larson will voice Princess Rosalina.
In the sequel, Mario and Luigi meet Yoshi and quickly become friends with him. They embark on an adventurous journey into space alongside Princess Peach and Toad, where they encounter Bowser Jr. and Princess Rosalina.
Released in 2023, The Super Mario Bros. Movie became the third highest-grossing animated film in global box office history, earning $1.36 billion worldwide. Over the three-day Easter holiday weekend, the film grossed $166.4 million, ranking second among the highest-grossing opening weekends in U.S. history for that frame, behind Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice with $181 million. After its release across all markets, the film reached a net profit of $559 million.
Universal will release the film on April 3, 2026 (Farvardin 15, 1405) in the United States and select international markets, followed by a release in Japan and other territories on April 24.
