Asha Bhosle, the Immortal Voice of Bollywood, Passes Away

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Asha Bhosle, the legendary Indian singer and one of the most beloved voices in the history of Bollywood cinema, has died at the age of 92 in a hospital in Mumbai.
The family of Asha Bhosle, the Indian singer whose voice defined Bollywood music throughout the 1970s and 1980s, announced that she passed away at the age of 92.
The two-time Grammy-nominated singer had been hospitalized in Mumbai with symptoms of extreme fatigue and a chest infection.
Bhosle’s voice resonated across Indian cinema lovers for nearly eight decades, with approximately 12,000 recorded songs.
According to The Guardian, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep sorrow over her passing, saying: “Her extraordinary musical journey, spanning decades, enriched our cultural heritage and touched countless hearts across the world. She will continue to inspire generations, and her songs will forever resonate in people’s lives.”
Asha Bhosle was born on September 8, 1933, into a musically inclined family, with all four of her siblings also being skilled singers and musicians.
She became one of the most versatile and popular voices in Indian cinema, receiving the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2001 and earning two Grammy nominations.
