Kaylee Hottle, 18-Year-Old ‘Godzilla x Kong’ Star, Passes Away in Car Accident

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Kaylee Hottle, the teenage American actress who rose to fame with her standout roles in Godzilla vs. Kong and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, has passed away at the age of 18 following a car accident in Maryland.

Her father, Joshua Hottle, announced the news of his daughter’s passing during a social media livestream using American Sign Language (ASL). The Texas School for the Deaf, where Kaylee was in her senior year, also confirmed the tragic incident in an official statement and requested privacy for her family. Born into a Deaf family, Kaylee began her professional career at a young age and first gained recognition through commercials advocating for the Deaf community.

Her most prominent role was that of “Jia,” a young deaf girl who formed a deep emotional bond with Kong and communicated with him through sign language. Her performance in the franchise’s second installment earned her a Saturn Award nomination for Best Performance by a Younger Actor. Legendary Pictures, the production company behind the MonsterVerse franchise, issued a statement expressing its deep sorrow over the young actress’s passing and honoring her memory.
