Kevin Costner Channels His Anger Over The Hollywood Reporter Exposé Into Deep-Sea Treasure Hunting

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Kevin Costner has taken refuge in the depths of the ocean to vent his anger over a recent exposé published by The Hollywood Reporter. The article claimed that “feuds, walkouts, lawsuits, and business failures” had made working with Costner “impossible.”
Sources close to Page Six allege that Costner was so enraged by the report that he turned to deep-sea diving in search of sunken treasures, and has even “found gold coins and emeralds in the Caribbean Sea.” The report adds that Costner is trying to develop a TV series about the global hunt for sunken treasures, though at present “no one wants to work with him.”
Among the allegations detailed in The Hollywood Reporter piece is a conflict between Costner and Wes Bentley, his co-star on the series Yellowstone in Utah. Costner, who was both an actor and producer on the show, reportedly asked Bentley to ignore Taylor Sheridan’s script and shoot the scene the way he wanted. Bentley refused, saying he had signed on to act under Sheridan’s direction, not Costner’s.
A source close to the production told The Hollywood Reporter:
“Kevin didn’t like that and lunged at him. No punches were thrown, but they went face-to-face, shoved each other, and had to be separated.”
The exposé also claimed that Costner had accumulated hundreds of thousands of dollars in unpaid debts for costume purchases and failed to meet payment deadlines. He was further accused of ignoring advice from veteran directors such as Steven Spielberg, clashing with co-stars including Clint Eastwood and Kurt Russell, and rewriting scripts without consulting the filmmakers.
One anonymous insider said:
“There’s a long list of people in Hollywood who’ve sworn never to work with Kevin Costner again.”
Costner’s western Horizon received negative reviews and performed poorly at the box office. The second installment has yet to be released, and he is reportedly facing financial difficulties in completing the planned four-part saga. However, according to unofficial reports, Costner hopes to secure funding from Saudi Arabia to finish the remaining two films.
