According to the CinemaDrame news agency, the new science fiction and thriller film starring Greta Lee and Wagner Moura, directed by Louis Leterrier, has finally received its release date on Netflix, along with the unveiling of its first images.

The film, previously known as “11817”, will now be released under the title “The Last House” and will be available on Netflix on August 8. Alongside Greta Lee and Wagner Moura, the cast also includes Riley Chung, Emma Hu, Noah Alexander Sosnowski, and Gabriel Barbosa.

The story follows a family of four who become trapped inside their own home as their resources run out, while an unseen or threatening force prevents them from escaping, leaving them in a state of siege. The first released images highlight the film’s confined and tense atmosphere.

The project is directed by Louis Leterrier, known for films such as “Fast X” and “Now You See Me”. The screenplay is written by Matthew Robinson, and the production is handled by several major film companies.

In recent years, Greta Lee has appeared in projects such as “Tron: Ares”, “A House of Dynamite”, and “Past Lives”, and is also known for series like “Russian Doll” and “The Morning Show”. She has been nominated for an Emmy Award for one of her roles and is also set to voice characters in major upcoming animated projects.

Wagner Moura, meanwhile, received an Oscar nomination for “The Secret Agent” and has appeared in films such as “Civil War” and “The Gray Man”, as well as series including “Narcos” and “Wagner Moura”.
