‘Ted Lasso’ Season 4 Trailer Reveals August Release; Jason Sudeikis Returns to Richmond to Coach Women’s Football Team

According to the CinemaDrame news agency, the popular series “Ted Lasso” is set to return to Apple TV+ this summer.
Apple TV+ has confirmed that the fourth season of the football-focused series will premiere on August 5, with episodes released weekly through October 7. Jason Sudeikis not only reprises his lead role but also continues to serve as an executive producer on the project.
This season sees the return of cast members including Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift. New additions to the cast include Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Fee Marsey, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abby Hern, and Grant Feeley.
In Season 4, Ted returns to AFC Richmond but takes on a new challenge: coaching a second-division women’s football team. In the newly released trailer, he is seen training young players, while in another scene he is mocked by a man who tells him: “You’re coaching a girls’ team, you idiot!”
The official synopsis states that throughout the season, Ted and his team learn to take risks before overthinking and to embrace opportunities they never imagined.
Jack Burditt joins the series as a new executive producer alongside returning producers Joe Kelly, Jane Becker, Jamie Lee, and Bill Wrubel. Brett Goldstein also continues his dual role as actor, writer, and executive producer.
The season is written by Sarah Walker and Phoebe Walsh, with Sasha Garron serving as co-producer. Bill Lawrence also remains involved through his production company, alongside Warner and Universal-affiliated studios.
