A special film for Taylor Swift’s album The Life of a Showgirl to be released

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Taylor Swift and AMC Theatres have announced that a special film for the album The Life of a Showgirl will premiere on October 3. The pop singer stated on Instagram that a “release celebration” for the album will take place in cinemas from October 3 to 5.

Swift explained that during this event, the music video for the song The Fate of Ophelia, along with never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage from its production, as well as new videos for songs from The Life of a Showgirl, will be shown for the first time.

The 89-minute film, produced in collaboration with Variance—the company that partnered with Swift on the concert film Taylor Swift: Eras Tour—will be screened in AMC theatres. In honor of the release of Swift’s twelfth album, ticket prices will be set at $12.

Swift has requested screenings in Premium Large Format (PLF) cinemas, with at least four showings per day. On the same date, Avatar: The Way of Water, The Smashing Machine, and One Battle After Another will also be playing in IMAX and PLF theatres.

The theatrical version of the Eras Tour concert film grossed $93.2 million, marking the second-highest October opening in North American history after Joker. By the end of its run, the film had earned $180 million domestically and $261 million worldwide.
