Police Respond to Perez Hilton’s Home Following Live-Streamed Self-Harm
According to CinemaDrame News Agency, police responded to the Miami residence of Perez Hilton, the high-profile celebrity blogger and media personality, following incidents of self-harm during a live stream on TikTok.
In videos circulating on social media, a visibly distressed and bloodied Hilton could be seen using an object to cut his hand and body.
The Miami-Dade Police Department confirmed in a statement that officers were dispatched to Hilton’s residence after receiving multiple calls regarding an individual live-streaming self-harming behavior. After determining that he was alone inside the home and consulting with family members on the scene, law enforcement opted to maintain a watchful presence while taking a de-escalation approach to minimize the risk of harm to the individual and others.
Local media reported that Hilton was subsequently safely transported by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to a local hospital to receive medical treatment and care.
Hilton, who is a father of three, previously revealed in a video earlier this year that he had been hospitalized for three weeks after contracting the flu, which escalated to a gastrointestinal perforation and sepsis. At the time, he shared that the near-fatal health scare had profoundly altered his perspective on life and faith.
