Channing Tatum, Oscar Isaac, and Zazie Beetz join crime film Kockroach

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Channing Tatum, Oscar Isaac, and Zazie Beetz have joined the crime drama Kockroach. Max Chance, whose credits include American Sniper, is producing the project and will present it to buyers next week at the Toronto International Film Festival.

The story follows a mysterious outsider who rises to power in New York’s criminal underworld. Written by Jonathan Ames and directed by Matt Ross (Captain Fantastic), the film is based on the novel by William Lashner, published under the pseudonym Tyler Knox.

Isaac is currently at the Venice Film Festival with Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein and In the Hands of Dante, and has also joined the second season of Netflix’s Beef. Tatum’s upcoming film Roofman will be released in theaters soon, while Beetz starred in The Dutchman, which screened at SXSW. Another of her projects, Gore Verbinski’s Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die, wrapped production in 2024.

Filming for Kockroach is scheduled to begin in Australia in January.
