New Bugonia Trailer: First Look at Shaved-Head Emma Stone
According to CinemaDrame News Agency, the new trailer for Yorgos Lanthimos’s film Bugonia reveals the first images of Emma Stone with a shaved head. The film, which premieres today at the Venice Film Festival, is a remake of the South Korean sci-fi comedy Save the Green Planet.
Bugonia tells the story of two young men obsessed with conspiracy theories who kidnap the CEO of a major corporation, convinced that she is an alien planning to destroy Earth. The cast also includes Jesse Plemons, Alicia Silverstone, Edi Delbes, and Stavros Halkias.
At the film’s Venice press conference, the Greek director noted that the story of Bugonia is not far from reality: “Much of the dystopia in this film is not really fictional. Many of its parts are a direct reflection of the real world. So I don’t necessarily see it as a dystopian film, but rather as a portrayal of the future and what has happened to civilization.”
Emma Stone collaborates with Lanthimos for the fourth time following Poor Things, The Favourite, and Kinds of Kindness.
Bugonia will be released on October 24, 2025.
