First Teaser for Blue Eye Samurai Season 2

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Netflix unveiled the first teaser for Season 2 of Blue Eye Samurai, created by Michael Green and Amber Noizumi, during Anime NYC. The series’ first season won four Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Animated Program.
Set in 17th-century Japan, Blue Eye Samurai follows Mizu, a mixed-race samurai voiced by Maya Erskine, on a quest for vengeance. The Season 1 voice cast featured George Takei, Randall Park, Kenneth Branagh, Stephanie Hsu, Brenda Song, Darren Barnet, Ming-Na Wen, and Masi Oka.
In the teaser, Noizumi, Green, and series producer Jane Wu remind viewers that Mizu’s mission of revenge continues, though her destination shifts to London. She leverages Abijah Fowler, voiced by Kenneth Branagh, as part of her plan to achieve her goals. Another sequence shows Mizu joining a group of peasants in an assault on a fortress, only to be met with a barrage of flaming arrows.
Green expressed gratitude to fans, saying: “When we started Blue Eye Samurai, we didn’t know if anyone would be interested, if anyone would find it compelling, or if we could even get it made. So we want to thank you, the fans, for your support.”
