First Images of Nicole Kidman in the Series Scarpetta
According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Amazon has unveiled the first images from the series Scarpetta, starring Nicole Kidman and Jamie Lee Curtis. The series has already been greenlit for a second season ahead of its debut on Prime Video.
Kay Scarpetta, played by Nicole Kidman, is a pathologist in this series written by Liz Sarnoff. The character is inspired by Chief Medical Examiner Marcella “Marci” Farinelli Fierro, and uses forensic science to solve criminal cases. The show will follow Scarpetta’s journey from the late 1990s to the present day as she returns home.
Jamie Lee Curtis plays Kay Scarpetta’s boisterous sister. Ariana DeBose, Bobby Cannavale, Simon Baker, Rosie McEwen, Sosie Bacon, Amanda Righetti, Michael Vogel, and Jake Cannavale are also part of the cast. David Gordon Green will direct the first two episodes.
In recent years, Kidman has appeared in several television projects, including HBO’s Big Little Lies and The Undoing, Paramount+’s Lioness, and Expats. Scarpetta will premiere on Prime Video on March 11, 2026.
