Ariana Grande Wraps Filming on Focker-in-Law

According to CINEMADRAME News Agency, Ariana Grande announced on Instagram that filming for Focker-in-Law has been completed. The sequel to the Meet the Parents franchise is set to be released next year.

The Grammy-winning singer revealed that her character is named Olivia Jones but shared no further details. She posted a photo with Ben Stiller, Beanie Feldstein, Skyler Gisondo, and Eduardo Franco, writing: “These past few months have been incredibly special. I love my Fockers, and the Burns… so so much. I’m going to miss this group deeply. See you all next November!”

In September, Stiller told E! News that Grande’s addition to the film was “amazing” and “surprising”: “She’s a professional, very funny and talented, and obviously a singer, but also hilarious and surprising in Wicked. What she does in this film is very unique, she has a distinct character, and we’re having a blast working with her.”

Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro, Teri Polo, Blythe Danner, and Owen Wilson are returning to reprise their roles, while Ariana Grande, Skyler Gisondo, and Beanie Feldstein join as new cast members. John Hamburg serves as the writer and director.

The Meet the Parents series revolves around awkward situations with in-laws, focusing on Greg Focker (Stiller) and his interactions with his wife’s family, including her father Jack Burns (De Niro), a former CIA agent. Teri Polo played his wife Pam, Owen Wilson played her ex-boyfriend Kevin, and Dustin Hoffman and Barbra Streisand appeared as Jack’s parents in previous installments.

The first film was released in 2000 and grossed over $330 million worldwide. The sequels Meet the Fockers (2004) and Little Fockers (2010) brought the franchise’s total worldwide gross to $1.3 billion.

Universal is set to release Meet the Parents 4 on November 25, 2026.
