First Images from Paddington: The Musical
According to CINEMADRAME News Agency, the beloved and iconic character Paddington is making his stage debut in a musical at London’s Savoy Theatre. With the start of previews for Paddington: The Musical, the producers have released images from the live performance of the bear.
The show is directed by Luke Sheppard, with songs written by Tom Fletcher and the book by Jessica Swale. James Hamid serves as the puppeteer and remote operator, while Arty Shah plays Paddington on stage. Behind the scenes, Tahereh Zafar is the set designer, Audrey Brisson is the movement director, Phil Woodfine is a puppeteer, and Annabel Davis oversees casting. Abby Provis and Ali Sarbani are the understudies for Paddington.
The musical is based on the classic 1958 book A Bear Called Paddington by Michael Bond, as well as the 2014 film adaptation.
The producers of Paddington: The Musical announced on Saturday, with the start of previews, that the show will run until October 25, 2026.
