Kianoush Ayari: Iran must be preserved by any means possible!

According to the CinemaDrame News Agency, Seyed Abbas Salehi (Minister of Culture), accompanied by Raed Faridzadeh (Head of the Cinema Organization), visited film director Kianoush Ayari.

Ayari has been undergoing treatment and medical care over the past two years due to illness, and during these days of war he has also remained at his home.

In today’s meeting with the minister, he stated: “Iran is my homeland, and because of its vastness and its diverse ethnic groups, it has always been of great importance to me.

I was born in Khuzestan, and I have a deep attachment to it. The smell of oil and the Karun River has always made me emotional.

One of the most tragic events for me is the disintegration of Iran, and Iran must be preserved by any means possible.”

Last year, Ayari was preparing to produce a film titled “Khar-e Lang” (The Lame Donkey), directed by himself and co-produced with Mehrdad Ghaffarzadeh, in collaboration with the National Iranian Oil Company and the Farabi Cinema Foundation.

This film is about events and occurrences related to the historical period of Mohammad Ali Shah and Mozaffar ad-Din Shah Qajar, and the time when the first oil well in the Middle East erupted in Masjed Soleyman.
