Israeli-American Assault on the Fourth Pillar of Democracy: From Assassinating Journalists in Lebanon to Infrastructure Attacks in Iran

According to the CinemaDrame News Agency, the aggressive campaign by the Zionist regime and its Western supporters against the free flow of information has reached unprecedented levels. This offensive, which began in the physical battlefield, has now expanded to media infrastructures deep within Iran and the region, aiming to silence the voices of the people of Iran and the Middle East.

In the physical conflict, Zionist forces directly targeted Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) buildings across various cities, including the capital, and launched strikes against international agencies like “Press TV” and “Al-Alam” in Tehran’s District 2. This carnage reached its peak in Lebanon with the targeted assassination of dedicated journalists; the blood of martyrs such as Amal Khalil (Al-Akhbar newspaper), Fatima Ftouni, and Ali Shoeib (Al-Manar and Al-Mayadeen) testifies to the enemy’s fear of the lenses that capture their atrocities.

Simultaneously, the Israeli-American front has shifted the war to cyberspace, launching massive infrastructural attacks against agencies like CinemaDrame and our media colleagues. These attacks, which caused severe server disruptions and halted news operations, were specifically designed to silence media outlets serving as the authentic voice of the Iranian and regional people.

CinemaDrame News Agency condemns these hybrid crimes and emphasizes that targeting the fourth pillar of democracy is a flagrant violation of all international treaties. Despite these infrastructural assaults and constant threats, we remain committed to our mission, supported by the legacy of media martyrs, to reflect the truth and ensure that media terrorism does not bury reality under the rubble of war.
