Callum Turner Emerges as the New Frontrunner to Replace Daniel Craig as James Bond

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Callum Turner has become the latest frontrunner to replace Daniel Craig as James Bond. The search for a new actor to portray Agent 007 continues, as the most recent Bond film, No Time to Die, was released in 2021, and the action franchise has undergone major behind-the-scenes changes since then.
There had been earlier speculation that Turner might succeed Craig, but his performance in the upcoming film Eternity, opposite Elizabeth Olsen and Miles Teller, has now placed him among the newest contenders.
Jon Hill of the betting website Coral says: “Support for Callum Turner as the new James Bond in the last 24 hours has been astonishing for us. The British actor has now gained fresh traction for the role.”
Other candidates include Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Nosferatu), Henry Cavill (Man of Steel), Anthony Boyle, Harris Dickinson, Jack Lowden, and James Norton.
It was previously reported that after changes to the franchise’s producers, Amazon MGM assigned the script for the 26th James Bond film to Steven Knight, creator of Peaky Blinders, and entrusted directing duties to Denis Villeneuve, known for Dune and Blade Runner 2049.
David Heyman and Amy Pascal will serve as the new producers of James Bond, replacing Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, who departed the franchise after receiving $1 billion.
The Guardian writes that the 33-year-old Turner possesses “that combination of enigmatic seriousness and rugged capability.” Turner also worked with Léa Seydoux in The Beast — Seydoux previously appeared opposite Craig as a Bond girl.
