Hollywood Celebrities React to Partial Demolition of the White House: “Hitler Had a Grand Ballroom Too”

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Hollywood celebrities have reacted this week to Donald Trump’s decision to demolish part of the White House to build a $250 million ballroom.

Trump supporters argue that changes to the White House’s structure are nothing new, but critics point out that the demolition coincided with the “No Kings” protests held earlier this week.
Mia Farrow wrote:
“Hitler had a grand reception/ballroom built at the Reich Chancellery in Berlin. It was part of a massive renovation process after he became Chancellor, designed by Albert Speer and completed in 1939.
Trump had assured us that he wouldn’t alter our beloved White House by adding a ballroom. Is he angry about the majesty of the ‘No Kings’ protests — or was he planning to destroy it all along?
Either way, one day after the protests, he sent bulldozers into the White House. It’s heartbreaking.”
Barbra Streisand commented:
“While the government is shut down, Donald Trump is tearing up part of the West Garden of the White House — the people’s house — to build an unnecessary ballroom. Who pays for this cruelty?”
Jon Cryer, star of Two and a Half Men, wrote:
“I’m just imagining how Republicans would’ve reacted if Obama had done this without authorization.”
Mark Hamill, known for Star Wars, posted on Bluesky, accusing Trump of “ignoring every law protecting historic landmarks” and “lying” about the construction not affecting the existing structure:
“He’s building a pompous $250 million ballroom while ordinary Americans are struggling to make ends meet.”
George Takei, star of Star Trek, joked:
“If I ever become president, the first thing I’ll do is take a sledgehammer to that ballroom.”
Stephen King, author of The Shining and It, simply called the construction “shameful.”
