Trailer for The Abandons: Gillian Anderson and Lena Headey Face Off in Kurt Sutter’s New Netflix Series
According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Netflix has released the official trailer for The Abandons, a new series written and produced by Kurt Sutter. The 10-episode series will premiere on December 4.
Set in 1850s Oregon, the story follows a group of families searching for their destiny while a corrupt force of power and wealth seeks to seize their land and drive them out. These forsaken souls living on the fringes of society band together to form a family and fight back. The Abandons explores the thin line between survival and law, as well as the bloody consequences of vengeance and the corrupting nature of secrecy.
The cast includes Lena Headey, Gillian Anderson, Nick Robinson, Diana Silvers, Lamar Johnson, Natalia Del Riego, Lucas Till, Aisling Franciosi, Toby Hemingway, Michael Greyeyes, Ryan Hurst, Kathleen Wells, Clayton Cardenas, Patton Oswalt, Jack Dolan, Sarah White, and Michael Ornstein.
Sutter, who produces the series under his SutterInk banner, was previously dismissed from Mayans M.C., the prequel to Sons of Anarchy, several years ago.
The Abandons premieres December 4 on Netflix.
