Tom Holland Plans to Build “100% Free” Schools: “I Scour the Internet for Spider-Man Fans’ Opinions”

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Tom Holland, star of Sony and Marvel’s Spider-Man films, revealed in a new interview with LADbible that he plans to build “100% free” schools to rival private institutions. The British actor is currently filming Spider-Man: Brand New Day and recently wrapped production on Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey.

Holland explained that beyond acting and filmmaking, he has other ambitions for the future, describing himself as “a very ambitious person.” He founded a charity called The Brother’s Trust, but his “ultimate goal” has always been to establish a free school: “My endgame with everything I’ll do is essentially to build a school that has all the facilities other schools in London have, but is completely free and can compete with the country’s private schools.”

He also admitted that he regularly turns to the internet to better understand fan expectations for Spider-Man: “I seriously scour the internet and try to get a better sense of what fans want from a Spider-Man movie, and that’s been my driving force in pitch meetings [with producers]. I think sometimes the producers got really tired of me, but I believe it’s incredibly important because we make these films for [the fans].”

Holland has signed on for a new Spider-Man trilogy with Sony and is also expected to reprise his role as Peter Parker in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.
