Teaser for Season Two of Devil May Cry Anime

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, the first teaser for the second season of the anime series Devil May Cry, produced by Adi Shankar, teases an upcoming confrontation between Dante and Vergil. The teaser shows an older Dante with longer hair, who appears to be working with Lady and her organization after she reveals that she has found his twin brother.

The story of Devil May Cry follows a character named Dante, who seeks revenge for the death of his family. Netflix describes the anime as follows: “In this anime adaptation of Capcom’s beloved game, demonic forces open a gateway between the human realm and the underworld. At the center of it all is Dante, a demon hunter who doesn’t yet realize that the fate of both worlds rests on his shoulders.”

Devil May Cry is being produced at South Korea’s Studio Mir—known for The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf—with Alex Larsen as writer, Hideaki Itsuno from Capcom, and Seung Wook Lee serving as producers.

The Devil May Cry franchise first began in 2001 with the release of Capcom’s video game for the PlayStation 2. Since then, Dante has battled demons across multiple platforms, including various consoles and PC, sometimes alongside his brother Vergil, and sometimes against him. At certain points, the role of hero even shifted to Nero, though many of the elements from the original games have been incorporated into Netflix’s anime adaptation.

Season two of the Devil May Cry anime will premiere in 2026.
