Sydney Sweeney Wears Marilyn Monroe’s 74-Year-Old Dress at Santa Barbara Festival

According to the CinemaDrame News Agency, Sydney Sweeney walked the red carpet at the Santa Barbara Film Festival on Sunday wearing a dress that Marilyn Monroe had worn 74 years ago. The 28-year-old actress received the Virtuoso Award for her role in the film Christy.

The dress was created by American designer Seel Chapman and was originally worn by Monroe in 1952 for Life magazine. Molly Dickinson, Sweeney’s stylist, shared an image of Monroe wearing the dress on Instagram.

This marks the second time in recent months that Sweeney has drawn inspiration from Monroe. She previously wore a white dress inspired by Monroe’s look in The Seven Year Itch on the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of The Housemaid.

The dress is one of Sweeney’s most modest looks in recent years. Last month, in a promotional stunt, she hung several bras as a tribute to Hollywood, and a few days later, she shared a semi-nude image of herself in Los Angeles.
