Rhea Seehorn’s “Only Problem” With Her First-Ever Golden Globe Nomination for Pluribus

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Rhea Seehorn has reacted to receiving the first Golden Globe nomination of her career for Season 1 of Apple TV+’s Pluribus. The Golden Globes overlooked her seven-year run in Better Call Saul, but on Monday finally nominated her for Best Actress in a Drama Series.

Seehorn told The Hollywood Reporter she’s excited to attend the Golden Globes ceremony in January, but added:
“Honestly, my only problem is the red carpet — I fall apart on it. [Laughs.] I’m not great with still photos. I’m totally fine moving my physical being through the world. But the moment someone tells you to freeze, and you know you’re supposed to look as pretty as possible, I crumble. I start sweating, then I worry about the sweat stains, and then I panic, and then after the photos I can finally go back to having fun.”

Pluribus follows a writer (played by Seehorn) in Albuquerque, New Mexico, who survives a global pandemic that wipes out nearly everyone else on Earth.

Speaking to Deadline about the Season 1 finale, Seehorn said:
“It’s insane. It’s going to feel like the first episode. My reaction to all of them has been the same… they’re beautifully written. When I read the scripts, I knew I was going to fall in love with the show. If I weren’t acting in it, I would have become obsessively interested in it. Getting to act in it and be a kind of access point into this rabbit hole for viewers has been a huge reward. As for the finale, I loved it. I immediately became restless for Season 2. The writers’ room is up, and I haven’t asked any questions yet. Maybe I’ll be surprised just like the audience.”

The series is nominated for Best Drama Series at the Golden Globes and has already earned a Critics Choice nomination in the same category. The Season 1 finale of Pluribus will air on December 26.
