Nicole Kidman Joins Osgood Perkins’ Film The Young People

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Nicole Kidman has joined the cast of The Young People, directed by Osgood Perkins. Following Longlegs, Keeper, and The Monkey, this marks Perkins’ fourth feature film for Neon.
Plot details for The Young People remain under wraps, but the Oscar-winning Kidman will star alongside Lola Tung from The Summer I Turned Pretty and Nico Parker from How to Train Your Dragon. The cast also includes Brendan Hines (The Tick), Cush Jumbo (The Good Wife), Heather Graham (Drugstore Cowboy), Johnny Knoxville (Jackass), Lexi Minetree (Elle), Lily Collias (Good One), and Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black).
Longlegs grossed over $75 million, becoming the highest-grossing independent film of 2024, while The Monkey scored Neon’s second-biggest opening in the studio’s history. The company is also set to release Perkins’ next film, Keeper, on November 14.
Kidman, who is currently developing the series Scarpetta for Prime Video and Margo’s Got Money Trouble for Apple TV, is no stranger to the horror genre, having starred in The Others — the critically acclaimed film that grossed more than $210 million worldwide and earned her BAFTA and Golden Globe nominations.
