New Teaser for Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man Confirms Barry Keoghan as Cillian Murphy’s On-Screen Son

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, the new teaser for Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man confirms that Barry Keoghan will play Duke Shelby, the son of Tommy Shelby, portrayed by Cillian Murphy. Steven Knight returns as writer and producer, while Cillian Murphy reprises his role as Tommy Shelby.
In the teaser, Ada Shelby, played by Sophie Rundle, tells Tommy: “Your gypsy son is running the Peaky Blinders as if it were 1919 all over again.”
Tim Roth, who plays a British fascist, offers Duke Shelby a path to support Germany during the war. Ultimately, Tommy Shelby must remind everyone who he is and stand against his own son to save the city.
The Immortal Man is set in Birmingham in 1940, amid the chaos of World War II, as Tommy Shelby returns from self-imposed exile for a devastating reckoning. In addition to Murphy, the cast includes Paul Anderson, Tom Hardy, Rebecca Ferguson—known for Dune and Mission: Impossible – Fallout—Barry Keoghan, and Tim Roth.
The sixth and final season of Peaky Blinders, written by Steven Knight, concluded in April 2022. The series won the BAFTA for Best Drama Series for its fourth season and moved from BBC One to Netflix in 2019.
While the story of Peaky Blinders will conclude with this film, Netflix has greenlit a six-episode prequel series. Knight and Murphy will serve as producers on the new show, which will be set in Birmingham in 1953.
Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man will receive a limited theatrical release on March 6 and begin streaming on Netflix on March 20.
