Millie Alcock’s Support for the Boycott of Israeli Film Companies

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Millie Alcock, the actress of the series House of the Dragon and the role of Supergirl in the DC Universe, expressed her support for the boycott of Israeli film companies by a group of international filmmakers, under a movement known as Film Workers 4 Palestine, by posting a story on Instagram.

More than 3,900 cinema activists have signed a letter pledging not to collaborate with Israeli film companies as a protest against Israel’s genocide and apartheid against the people of Palestine. Javier Bardem, Yorgos Lanthimos, Ava DuVernay, Olivia Colman, Tilda Swinton, Riz Ahmed, Gael García Bernal, Emma Stone, and many other filmmakers have supported this boycott.

Before Alcock, artists such as Michael Caine, Vanessa Redgrave, Jeremy Irons, Richard Gere, Natalie Portman, Emma D’Arcy, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Alison Brie, Madonna, Florence Pugh, Hannah Einbinder, Joaquin Phoenix, Hans Zimmer, Lana Del Rey, Angelina Jolie, Billie Eilish, Bob Vylan, Rachel Brosnahan, Cristin Milioti, Neko Case, Green Day, Bono, Andrew Garfield, Liam Cunningham, Susan Sarandon, Melissa Barrera, Sally Rooney, Guy Pearce, Maisie Williams, Javier Bardem, Jenna Ortega, Nicola Coughlan, Aimee Lou Wood, Rachel Zegler, Mark Ruffalo, Miriam Margolyes, Toni Collette, and John Cusack, as well as filmmakers Jonathan Glazer, Spike Lee, Yorgos Lanthimos, Ken Loach, Paul Laverty, and Pedro Almodóvar had already announced their support for Palestine.
