Jeon Somi, K-Pop Star, Makes Acting Debut in Horror Film Perfect Girl

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Jeon Somi, the K-pop star, will make her acting debut in the horror film Perfect Girl. The cast also includes Arden Cho, the American singer known for KPop Demon Hunters, and Adeline Rudolph, who appears in Mortal Kombat II. Filming will begin on October 27.
The film, described as a mix of Scream and Black Swan, follows the formation of a K-pop supergroup and the fierce competition among singers vying for membership. When a mysterious and talented girl is introduced at the last minute, the contestants begin to be murdered one by one.
The project is written by Lyn Q. Yu and directed and produced by Hong Won-ki. Perfect Girl will feature six original songs, though Jeon Somi’s and Cho’s participation as singers has not yet been confirmed.
Korean-Canadian Jeon Somi first rose to fame through the television competition Produce 101, later joining the group I.O.I before pursuing a successful solo singing career.
