First Teaser for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Nintendo and Illumination have announced that The Super Mario Galaxy Movie will be the official sequel to The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Universal will release the film on April 3, 2026, in the U.S. and select international markets, followed by an April 24 release in Japan and additional territories.
Chris Pratt will return as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, and Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek. Additional characters and voice actors will be announced at a later date.
Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic will direct the film from a screenplay by Matthew Fogel. Universal Pictures and Nintendo are co-financing the project.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023) became the third highest-grossing animated film of all time, earning $1.36 billion worldwide. Over the three-day Easter weekend alone, it grossed $166.4 million, making it the second-biggest Easter debut ever after Batman v Superman ($181 million). Ultimately, the film achieved a net profit of $559 million across all markets.
