First Teaser for Monster Series

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Netflix unveiled the first teaser for the third season of Monster, produced by Ryan Murphy and starring Charlie Hunnam as serial killer Ed Gein, this Thursday.
Gein’s crimes, discovered in the 1950s, shocked Wisconsin much like those of Jeffrey Dahmer, the focus of the show’s first season. Authorities at the time revealed that Gein had not only murdered several people but had also exhumed graves near his home. The characters Norman Bates in Psycho and Buffalo Bill in The Silence of the Lambs were inspired by him.
Hunnam, best known for playing Jackson “Jax” Teller in Sons of Anarchy, has also appeared in Apple’s Shantaram as well as Rebel Moon, Pacific Rim, and The Lost City of Z.
Hunnam said about the series: “This is an intensely human, precise, unflinching, and unfiltered exploration of Ed’s character and his actions. But it is the man himself who remains at the center, not the deeds.”
Murphy explained: “The thematic question each season asks is: are monsters born or made? In Ed’s case, I think it was a little bit of both.”
Other cast members in Season 3 include Laurie Metcalf as Gein’s mother, Tom Hollander as Hitchcock, Olivia Williams as his wife Alma, Addison Rae as Evelyn Hartley, Charlie Hall as Deputy Sheriff Frank Worden, and Will Brill.
The first season of Monster, released in 2022, earned Evan Peters a Golden Globe for his portrayal of Jeffrey Dahmer. Netflix’s second season, released last year, focused on the Menendez brothers, starring Javier Bardem and Chloë Sevigny as their parents. It was previously announced that Season 4 will center on the case of Lizzie Borden.
Season 3 of Monster will premiere on October 3.
