First official trailer for animated series Marvel Zombies
According to CinemaDrame News Agency, the bloody trailer for the animated series Marvel Zombies has been unveiled. Marvel Zombies, a spinoff of What If…?, is directed and produced by Bryan Andrews with a script by Zeb Wells.
The trailer shows Blade Knight—a hybrid of Blade and Moon Knight—slashing through Ghost from Thunderbolts with several brutal strikes. The character is voiced by Todd Williams.
The series will feature characters such as Katy (voiced by Awkwafina) from Shang-Chi, Yelena from Black Widow, Kate Bishop, Red Guardian from Black Widow, Jimmy Woo from WandaVision, Ms. Marvel, Death Dealer, and *Shang-Chi. Marvel confirmed at Comic-Con two years ago that Marvel Zombies would be TV-MA rated and produced in four episodes.
The voice cast includes Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Florence Pugh, David Harbour, Tessa Thompson, Simu Liu, Awkwafina, Hailee Steinfeld, Wyatt Russell, Randall Park, Iman Vellani, and Dominique Thorne.
In the first season of What If…?, a group of survivors including Wasp, Spider-Man, Winter Soldier, Hulk, Sharon Carter, Okoye, and Ant-Man had to fight off a zombie outbreak. By the end, several died, and Hulk sacrificed himself to stop the zombie version of Wanda, who wielded the Mind Stone. The surviving humans fled to Wakanda—only to find Thanos preparing to complete the Infinity Gauntlet.
Marvel Zombies will premiere on Disney+ on September 24.
