First Official Teaser for Toy Story 5

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Disney released the first official teaser for Toy Story 5 on Tuesday, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the original film’s 1995 release.
Andrew Stanton has been chosen to direct Toy Story 5, which tells a new story about how the toys confront electronic devices that may be more appealing to children today. The film’s voice cast includes Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear, Tom Hanks as Woody, Greta Lee as Lillypad, American comedian Conan O’Brien, Tony Hale as Forky, and Joan Cusack as Jessie.
In an interview with WIVB, Allen said the sequel focuses on Jessie’s character: “I can tell you it’s mostly about Jessie. Tom [Hanks] – I and Woody – we reconnect again. And Buzz Lightyear has an incredible opening scene. I can’t say much more than that.”
Peter Docter, Pixar’s creative director, told the Annecy International Animation Festival that in Toy Story 5, the characters face digital-age challenges: “The toys are encountering technology.” He added that the character Bonnie Anderson now has a new toy and entertains herself with a tablet, making this tablet, called Lillypad, the story’s antagonist.
Toy Story 4 premiered in 2019 and grossed over $1 billion worldwide, breaking animation opening records with $244 million.
Disney will release Toy Story 5 on June 19, 2026.
