According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Cate Blanchett will be honored with the Icon Award at Poland’s EnergaCAMERIMAGE Film Festival. The Oscar-winning actress will receive the award on November 15, during the festival’s closing ceremony.

“Her sensitivity and attentiveness to the world around her make her performances unforgettable and deeply inspiring to audiences across the globe.”

Blanchett’s career includes four BAFTAs, two Oscars, three Golden Globes, and three Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards. This year, she is nominated for both the Golden Globe and Emmy for her role in the series Disclaimer, directed by Alfonso Cuarón.
Together with her husband Andrew Upton, Blanchett served as the artistic director and co-CEO of the Sydney Theatre Company from 2008 to 2013, producing sixteen plays each year across four venues. Most recently, she starred in Martin Crimp’s play When We Have Sufficiently Tortured Each Other at the National Theatre in London.
