Ana de Armas Joins Scientology Through Tom Cruise

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Ana de Armas is entering the Scientology sect through Tom Cruise. Images of the two actors together in recent months sparked speculation that they are in a romantic relationship. Additionally, de Armas has joined Cruise’s film Deeper and had previously explained that she was undergoing intense training.

The star of Ballerina and Mission: Impossible was spotted with Cruise at an Oasis concert and on a yacht in the Mediterranean, but NewsNation reports that de Armas’s involvement goes beyond acting and romance, as she is becoming a member of the secretive Scientology sect.

A source told the outlet: “Tom won’t be with anyone who isn’t a Scientologist, so Ana is considering it.”

Cruise is a longtime member of Scientology and had introduced his former wives Nicole Kidman and Katie Holmes to the sect before marrying them. Both Kidman and Holmes left Scientology after separating from Cruise.

The report also noted that Cruise has no objection to having a child with de Armas. The Cuban actress ended her relationship with Ben Affleck in 2021, citing his lack of interest in children and “different lifestyle.” After Affleck, de Armas was seen with Manuel Anido Cuesta, the adopted son of Cuba’s president, but that relationship brought political troubles for the actress.

People magazine had previously reported that de Armas “enjoys” spending time with Cruise: “They have become very close and Tom continues to offer her both personal and professional support.”

The Scientology sect has been accused of child abuse. Jenna Miscavige, niece of Scientology leader David Miscavige, said she had a very difficult childhood in the sect, being forced from ages six to twelve to work 30 hours a week doing tasks such as digging soil, carrying rocks, and assembling devices called “E-meters” to measure “emotional responses.”

Jenna Miscavige revealed that Scientology considers humans to be immortal spiritual beings that pass from one body to another: “So, essentially, a child is a spiritual being in a small body. The concept of childhood doesn’t really exist. They basically use this belief to justify their mistreatment within Scientology.”

Leah Remini is another outspoken critic of Scientology and Tom Cruise.
