Amy Adams and Aaron Pierre Join Star Wars: Starfighter

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, as filming begins on Star Wars: Starfighter, several more actors have joined Ryan Gosling in the cast. In addition to Gosling, the film will feature Matt Smith, Mia Pearl (known for Pearl), Amy Adams, Aaron Pierre, Flynn Grey, Daniel Ings, Simon Bird, and Jamael Westman.

Directed by Shawn Levy and written by Jonathan Tropper, the story takes place five years after the events of The Rise of Skywalker (2019) and will go into production next fall.

Starfighter is the second Star Wars film to follow The Rise of Skywalker, after next year’s The Mandalorian and Grogu, which grossed $1.077 billion.

Adams was last seen in Nightbitch (2023), while Pierre appeared in Rebel Ridge. The 31-year-old Pierre has also done voice work in Mufasa: The Lion King and GOAT. Adams, meanwhile, has Klara and the Sun, directed by Taika Waititi, currently in post-production.

Star Wars: Starfighter is set to premiere on May 28, 2027.
