First Trailer Released for Guy Ritchie’s “Young Sherlock” Series

According to Cinemadrame News Agency, the first official trailer for the series “Young Sherlock,” written and executive produced by Matthew Parkhill, has been unveiled.

This eight-episode series, produced and directed by Guy Ritchie, explores the origin story of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s beloved detective. It stars Hero Fiennes Tiffin as a 19-year-old, inexperienced Sherlock Holmes, who finds himself entangled in a murder mystery at Oxford University. The cast also features Oscar and Golden Globe winner Colin Firth (The King’s Speech), along with Joseph Fiennes, Donal Finn, Zine Tseng, and Max Irons.

Ritchie previously directed Sherlock Holmes (2009) and its sequel Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (2011), which starred Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law as Holmes and Dr. Watson, respectively. While rumors of a third installment in that franchise have circulated for years, Ritchie is returning to the world of Holmes for the first time in over a decade with Young Sherlock, moving forward without the original cast.

The project is also produced by Simon Kelton, Ivan Atkinson, Simon Maxwell, Dhana Gilbert, and Colin Wilson.

“Young Sherlock” is set to premiere on March 4, 2026.
