First Trailer Released for Normal, Starring Bob Odenkirk

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Magnolia Pictures has unveiled the first trailer for Normal, directed by Ben Wheatley and starring Bob Odenkirk. The distributor had previously announced that the film will be released on April 17, 2026, in 2,000 theaters across the United States.
Normal follows a man named Ulysses, played by Odenkirk, who temporarily steps in as the sheriff of a small town after the sudden death of the previous sheriff. When the town’s bank is targeted in a robbery by two strangers, Ulysses gets involved and soon discovers that the town harbors dark secrets beneath its surface. Winkler plays the mayor of Normal, while Lena Headey appears as a bartender named Moira.
Ben Wheatley, whose credits include Meg 2: The Trench, directs the film, with a screenplay by Derek Kolstad, the creator of John Wick. Odenkirk and Kolstad most recently collaborated on Nobody 2. The Nobody films have collectively grossed nearly $100 million worldwide.
With its release in 2,000 theaters, Normal will mark the widest theatrical release in Magnolia Pictures’ history, surpassing the previous record held by Thelma, which opened in 1,290 theaters in June 2024.
