Trailer for the Critically Acclaimed Film “The Voice of Hind Rajab”

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, the official trailer for The Voice of Hind Rajab, directed by Kaouther Ben Hania, has been released. The film, which recounts the tragic story of a young Palestinian girl, premiered at the Venice Film Festival, where it received over 22 minutes of applause. Despite praise from critics and winning the Silver Lion Jury Prize in Venice, the film had no U.S. distributor for nearly two months.
Written and directed by Ben Hania, The Voice of Hind Rajab tells the story of how a five-year-old girl was left in a car and later died during Israeli attacks on Gaza. The film makes use of audio recordings of conversations between Hind Rajab and emergency responders from the Red Crescent who were attempting to dispatch an ambulance. Saji Kilani, Clara Khoury, and Moataz Malhis are among the cast members.
Tunisia has submitted The Voice of Hind Rajab as its entry for the Academy Award for Best International Feature. Oscar-winning director Jonathan Glazer (The Zone of Interest), Oscar-winning actor Joaquin Phoenix (Joker), Brad Pitt, Rooney Mara, and Alfonso Cuarón are producers on the project.
In addition to Venice, The Voice of Hind Rajab has screened at the San Sebastián, Toronto, Chicago, and London film festivals, and will be shown at the United Nations Headquarters in New York beginning December 4.
Villa Company will release The Voice of Hind Rajab on December 17 in New York at Film Forum and in Los Angeles.
