The second trailer for Ryan Gosling’s “Project Hail Mary”

According to the CinemaDrame News Agency, the second official trailer for “Project Hail Mary”, starring Ryan Gosling and Sandra Hüller, has been released. The film is directed by Christopher Miller and Phil Lord, who also serve as producers alongside Amy Pascal and Andy Weir, the author of the novel Project Hail Mary.

“Project Hail Mary” was filmed in IMAX and tells the story of a man named Ryland Grace, played by Gosling, a former schoolteacher who later becomes an astronaut. After waking up from a coma, he finds himself alone on a space station with no memory of his mission. He gradually recalls that he was sent to the Tau Ceti system, located 12 light-years from Earth. His mission is to prevent a cosmic event that could trigger a new ice age. Drew Goddard is the screenwriter and another producer on the project.

Gosling, who was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for “Barbie” directed by Greta Gerwig, has recently begun filming “Star Wars: Starfighter.” With Project Hail Mary, he may once again enter the Oscars race. For Lord and Miller, this marks their first feature-length directorial effort since their high-profile departure from “Solo: A Star Wars Story” in 2017, although they have remained active as writers and producers on films such as “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” and “The LEGO Movie 2.”

Greig Fraser, whose credits include “The Batman” and the first part of “Dune,” serves as the cinematographer for Project Hail Mary.

“Project Hail Mary” will be released on March 26, 2026.
