New Trailer for Pixar’s Animated Film Hoppers Reveals Meryl Streep as a Queen Butterfly

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, the new trailer for Disney and Pixar’s animated film Hoppers reveals that Meryl Streep voices a queen butterfly. The film is directed by Daniel Chong, who previously worked as a storyboard artist on Bolt, Cars 2, and Inside Out.

The story follows a young girl who can transfer her mind into a mechanical beaver. She befriends a beaver named King George, and with his help—along with other animals—must stop a real-estate developer’s expansion plans. Jon Hamm, star of Mad Men, voices a greedy mayor, while former Disney Channel actress Piper Crudda lends her voice to Mabel. Bobby Moynihan, who voiced a character in Inside Out 2, also appears in the cast.

In recent years, Pixar has suffered several box-office disappointments with films such as Lightyear, Turning Red, and Luca. The studio bounced back with Inside Out 2, but recently stumbled again with Elio, featuring voice performances by America Ferrera and Jameela Jamil.

Hoppers is scheduled for release on March 6, 2026.
