First Teaser for Laika’s Stop-Motion Film Wildwood

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, the first teaser for the stop-motion film Wildwood from Laika Studios has been released. The film is directed by Travis Knight and written by Chris Butler.

The story follows Prue McKeel and her best friend Curtis, who venture into a magical forest after Prue’s baby brother is kidnapped by a flock of crows led by a mysterious woman named Alexandra.

The voice cast includes Peyton Elizabeth Lee, Jacob Tremblay, Carey Mulligan, Mahershala Ali, Awkwafina, Angela Bassett, Jake Johnson, Charlie Day, Amandla Stenberg, Jemaine Clement, Maya Erskine, Tantoo Cardinal, Tom Waits, and Richard E. Grant. The film’s score is composed by Dario Marianelli.

Based on the novel of the same name by Colin Meloy, Wildwood marks Laika’s sixth stop-motion feature following Coraline, ParaNorman, The Boxtrolls, Kubo and the Two Strings, and Missing Link.

Wildwood is set to be released in 2026.
