“It Doesn’t Feel Like a Series”: Sigourney Weaver Praises Alien: Earth

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Sigourney Weaver has praised Alien: Earth, the new series produced by Noah Hawley. At the premiere of her latest film Dust Bunny at the Toronto International Film Festival, she told People and Entertainment Weekly that she enjoyed watching the show.

The actress who played Ellen Ripley in Alien said: “What’s remarkable about this series is the scale—it feels far deeper than an Alien film. This story is about our world and what will dominate Earth in the next hundred years, and I think it’s very accurate and true.”

She also expressed amazement at the creatures in the series: “And those monsters they’ve brought in are terrifying. As if one alien wasn’t enough trouble, now there are fifty more. I can’t believe I’m watching a television series.”

Weaver, who is returning for Avatar 3, had previously told Empire that Walter Hill sent her a 50-page treatment for a fifth Alien installment, but she is not eager to return: “Ripley deserves peace.”
