Scary Movie 6 to Spoof Sinners and Get Out

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Marlon Wayans, star of the Scary Movie franchise, has confirmed that the sixth installment will parody some of the biggest box office hits of 2025. Last year it was announced that Scary Movie 6 would mark the franchise’s return after twelve years.

In a new interview with ComicBook, Wayans revealed that Sinners, Longlegs, Get Out, Nope, and Heretic will all be spoofed in Scary Movie 6.
“You know, I’m just a fan of the genre,” Wayans said. “Maybe I Know What You Did Last Summer will also find its way into the film. I think the Scream franchise is always a great option. Heretic was an amazing film. Longlegs. Get Out. Nope. There are countless great horror films we can draw inspiration from and have fun with. And of course, Sinners.”
It has already been confirmed that Anna Faris will reprise her role as Cindy Campbell and Regina Hall will return as Brenda Meeks.
The five Scary Movie films have grossed more than $896 million worldwide. The first installment, directed by Keenen Ivory Wayans, opened in 2000 with over $42 million and went on to earn $278 million globally. The sequels were released between 2001 and 2013. While actors including Anna Faris, Ashley Tisdale, Regina Hall, and Erica Ash have appeared across the franchise, none appeared in all five films.
Scary Movie 6 will be released in cinemas in the U.K. and U.S. on June 12, 2026.
