Digital Release Dates Announced for Weapons and The Naked Gun


According to CinemaDrame News Agency, the box office hit Weapons, directed by Zach Cregger, will be released on digital platforms on September 23 (October 1, 2025). The film recently crossed $115 million at the box office, earning a 95% score on Rotten Tomatoes and an A– CinemaScore from audiences. It was originally released on August 8.
In the film, Julia Garner plays a teacher whose students—all but one—mysteriously leave their beds in the middle of the night and vanish. Josh Brolin stars as the parent of one of the missing children, determined to uncover the truth. The cast also includes Alden Ehrenreich, Austin Abrams, Kerry Condon, Benedict Wong, and Amy Madigan.
The remake of The Naked Gun, starring Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson, will be available for digital purchase and rental on September 2 (September 11, 2025). Directed by Akiva Schaffer, the film, which opened on August 1, has earned an A– CinemaScore, a 67% PostTrak score with 4.5 stars from audiences, and grossed $78 million worldwide.
In the reboot, Liam Neeson plays Frank Drebin Jr., the son of the iconic character originally portrayed by Leslie Nielsen, a police detective tasked with solving a complicated murder case in Los Angeles. The cast also features Pamela Anderson, Paul Walter Hauser, Danny Huston, and Kevin Durand.
